The 17th match of ICC t20 world cup 2021 has been played between Afghanistan and Scotland in Sharjah cricket ground. Afghanistan totally outclass Scotland and won the match with a huge margin of 130 runs. The Captin of Afghanistan cricket team ‘Mohammad Nabi‘ decided to bat first after winning the toss.

Afghanistan batters start the proceeding aggressively. Both the openers provide a great start to their team. Before the last ball of the powerplay, Mohammad Shahzad got out by scoring 22 runs on 15 balls. When the total was 82, Hazratullah Zazai got bowled out on a brilliant delivery from Watt. At this point, it was looking like Scotland would make a comeback into the game. But Rahmanullah Gurbaz & Najibullah Zadran didn’t let it happen. Both players scored 46 & 59 respectively. Najibullah remains the top scorer from Afghanistan. He played with a strike rate of 173.52 and hits 5 boundaries and three gigantic sixes. Afghanistan made a huge total of 190 for the loss of four wickets in their 20 overs. Scotland’s bowling attack was badly exposed by Afghanistan batters.

In reply, Scotland couldn’t even beat Najibullah, and the whole team got out on a very low total of 60 runs. Only three batters from Scotland go into the double figures. Scotland opener George Munsey shows some resistance against Afghanistan bowlers but he also departs early. He remains the top scorer from his team and scored 25 runs on 18 balls. His inning included 2 fours and 2 sixes. All batsmen of Scotland show a poor display of batting and five batsmen of Scotland couldn’t even open their account.
